This was a beautifully executed and lovely festival that I was so lucky to exhibit at. After some last minute cancellations I had to attend alone but was treated like an old friend by staff and festival goers a like. Unlike other festivals there is no ego here it is just talented and friendly people who really just love horror films. Loved it.

Such a wonderful event! The film selections were excellent; the relaxed but professional vibe was a really hard but superbly-struck balance; the availability of a vegan food truck for the interval was awesome; and the passion of the organisers and film-makers, some of whom made a guest appearance, was clear. I wear my OFB badges everywhere now. Can’t recommend enough!

My short film was in last year’s lineup and I had an amazing time! Great selection of films of all different horror subgenres, definitely something for everyone. Fellow attendees were also passionate and friendly, something that’s often lacking even in more established festivals. The organizers had great communication and were clearly passionate about what they do, thanks for a great experiece!

Leila Garrison (Dir. I-RIS)

This is my new favourite thing about Halloween! Both times there has been an excellently curated list of films, with varying styles within the horror genre. Whether you’re well versed horror or you’ve never seen a film ever, I would reccomend.
The atmosphere of the event is wonderful, many friendly faces and an absolute safe space.
Have I mentioned the merch?? So so good!

I attended last year and the event was amazing! The venue was a great choice and they had vegan food choices as well as other choices and the entire festival was really well put together! The films were awesome, the layout was great and didn’t feel too cramped and the quizzes were a fun addition as well! Really happy with my experience and I’ll definitely be going again this year! Massive thanks to the organisers of the event xx

Out for Blood is a fan(g)tastic celebration of independent queer horror in film. Last year the movies covered all kinds of sub-genres (including horror-comedy, sci-fi and animation) and had submissions from all around the world. Every care is taken by the organisers to ensure that a broad range of people from within the queer community are represented in the selection and the quality of the films is outstandingly high.

I’m very excited to see this year’s offerings, and extra pleased to know there will be vegan catering too!

NOT. TO. BE. MISSED.

Their communication was top notch, and their love of film and commitment to their audience shone through in everything they did. Looks like a really special event and one which hopefully will go from strength to strength!
