We’re accepting submissions to our Out For Blood Zine! If you are a queer identifying person, we’d love to see some of your creative work on the theme QUEER HORROR. The deadline for submission entries is 30th JUNE 2020.
Your submission could be a piece of artwork, a poem, photography, short story or non-fiction. Please ensure all submissions fit on one side of A4.
For some inspiration, over the next week we’ll post a few spooky pieces we showcased in our last zine. We had excellent drawings of queer vampires, an ethereal graveyard print, two short stories of peculiar events, a powerful non-fiction essay, and an iconic piece of Glen Or Glenda from Seed of Chucky.
We can’t wait to see what you’ll come up with for this year! A poem about lesbian zombie love? A short story about non-binary poltergeists? How about a short critical essay on why the movie Jennifer’s Body deserves to be claimed as a cult queer movie? We’ve got all sorts of tricky feelings about existing in lock down, so getting to focus some energy on creating some interesting pieces is really helping. We hope that this call for zine submissions gives you a little fun too.
You can email your submissions to outforbloodcambridge@outlook.com. The deadline is 30th June 2020.
